6.6kW On-Board Charger for EV & Battery System Integration
Choosing an on-board charger is not just about matching the rated power. The charger must also match your battery voltage range, maximum charging current, BMS communication and available AC input.
The AmpBird 6.6kW On-Board Charger is designed to make that integration more flexible.
With six voltage platforms covering 72V to 540V battery systems, a 90–265VAC wide input range, and CAN or Enable control options, it can be configured for a wide range of electric vehicle and battery charging projects.

CAN or Enable Control
For systems requiring communication between the charger and battery management system, a CAN-controlled configuration is available.
An Enable-controlled configuration is also available for applications where CAN communication is not required.
Important: Please confirm your required control method and BMS parameters before ordering.
CAN is especially relevant to professional EV projects because CAN communication can allow the OBC and vehicle/battery control systems to exchange charging requirements and operating information.
IP67 Protection for Vehicle Installation
The charger features an IP67-rated enclosure designed to protect the internal electronics from dust and water ingress.
The internal structure is partially potted, while the unpotted surfaces are protected with conformal coating. The sealed construction also helps improve moisture and vibration resistance.

Package Contents & Wiring
The charger comes with matching mating connectors only. Cables, wiring harnesses, AC mains plugs and DC battery-side plugs are not included. Customers must provide and wire suitable cables and plugs for their installation.
