DIY Battery Kit Questions

What is included?

Each DIY kit includes the main hardware needed to build a battery: the battery cabinet, JK BMS, LCD screen, busbars, breaker, wiring, mounting hardware and assembly components. LiFePO4 cells are sold separately.

Are cells included?

No. LiFePO4 cells are not included with the kit. The kit provides everything else required for assembly, and you choose Grade A cells separately based on your capacity and brand preference.

Which cells are compatible?

The kits are designed for large-format prismatic LiFePO4 cells, commonly 280Ah, 304Ah, 314Ah, 320Ah, 330Ah and 334Ah. Please check the product description for the exact supported range of each kit.

How many cells do I need?

For a 48V / 51.2V battery you need 16 cells in series. The total capacity depends on the Ah rating of the cells you choose.

How long does assembly take?

Assembly time varies with experience. For a typical 48V kit, a confident DIY user can assemble the battery in a few hours. We provide documentation and technical support to help you through the process.

Can beginners build it?

The kits are designed to be DIY-friendly, but basic electrical knowledge and careful handling of high-capacity cells are required. If you are unsure, our technical support can guide you, or you may prefer a ready-built battery system.

Which inverter brands are supported?

The kits work with standard 48V / 51.2V LiFePO4 inverters that accept the BMS communication protocol used by the included JK BMS. If you already have an inverter, tell us the model and we will help confirm compatibility.

Can I expand later?

Yes. The cabinet and BMS support future expansion when your system design allows it. Planning capacity ahead helps reduce rework, so feel free to ask us about a scalable configuration.
