EVE LF280K Datasheet Guide: Dimensions, Terminals and Version Checks
Dans cet article
When checking an EVE LF280K datasheet, start with the specification number, revision and dimensional definitions. The reference PDF currently linked by AmpBird identifies LF280K, specification PBRI-LF280K-D06-01, Version C, June 2023. Its dimensions distinguish height with terminals from height without terminals, and its thickness value includes a stated measurement condition. A rounded search result such as “174 × 207” is not enough to confirm enclosure fit.
Which LF280K Datasheet Is This Guide Reading?
This guide discusses the reference document linked from the AmpBird EVE LF280K product page. The link was checked on October 18, 2026. That check identifies the file available through the listing; it does not establish that this is the newest EVE revision or the specification applicable to every current order.
- Model: LF280K.
- Specification number: PBRI-LF280K-D06-01.
- Version: C.
- Cover date: June 2023.
Use the product page's datasheet download to obtain the reference, then ask the supplier to confirm its applicability to the delivered cells. Keep that written confirmation alongside the order, batch identification and mechanical drawing. A file named “LF280K datasheet” without a revision is an incomplete design record.
LF280K Dimensions: Why the Definitions Matter
The following values are a reading of the Version C reference, printed page 2, rather than a guarantee of delivered dimensions. The table heading identifies dimensions with insulation film. Preserve the tolerances and conditions instead of copying only rounded nominal numbers.
| Reference field | Version C value | What to check for the actual build |
|---|---|---|
| Height H1, with terminal | 207.2 ± 0.5 mm | Terminal treatment, fasteners, busbars and clearance to the lid |
| Height H2, without terminal | 204.6 ± 0.5 mm | Do not use the body-height value as the complete electrical assembly height |
| Length L | 173.7 ± 0.5 mm | Drawing axis, insulation and enclosure clearance |
| Thickness T | 71.7 ± 0.8 mm | The reference states delivery SOC and a 300 ± 20 kgf compression measurement condition |
| Terminal center distance D | 123.0 ± 0.3 mm | Delivered terminal geometry and busbar alignment |
The stated thickness measurement condition is not a universal instruction to apply that force to an assembled DIY pack. Obtain the actual assembly requirements, fixture design and applicable drawing for the supplied batch. A dimension measured under one condition cannot automatically be treated as an unconstrained cell dimension.
Why “174 × 207” Does Not Answer the Fit Question
A short dimension pair omits at least one axis and can hide rounding, tolerance and the height definition. Even a complete length-by-thickness-by-height line does not describe the space required for busbars, insulating covers, sense leads, restraint and service access.
Ask for a marked drawing that shows which dimension corresponds to each axis. Then compare the delivered assembly envelope with the usable internal space of the proposed enclosure, not its external sales dimensions.
For example, sixteen reference thickness values give 16 × 71.7 = 1,147.2 mm. If all sixteen cells were placed along that axis and the upper listed tolerance were used, the arithmetic would be 16 × 72.5 = 1,160 mm. Neither result is a finished enclosure length: separators, end plates, clearances, restraint and the measurement conditions remain unresolved. Real packs can also use different row arrangements.
Confirm the Terminals as Supplied
A model name does not fully specify the delivered connection hardware. Confirm whether the supplied cells have their original terminal form or additional processing, and request a drawing of the delivered state.
- What terminal construction is supplied for the selected variant?
- What hardware and busbars are included, and what are their dimensions?
- What fastener engagement and tightening requirements apply?
- How much vertical space is needed after busbars, fasteners and insulation are installed?
- Are the drawings consistent with the cell and hardware photos for this order?
Do not derive a fastener torque from an unrelated LF280K listing or assume that terminal center spacing establishes compatibility with every busbar. The reference drawing and supplier confirmation should describe the actual combination being purchased.
Nominal Capacity Is a Separate Check
Using 3.2V and 280Ah, nominal cell energy is 896Wh. A single 16S string is nominally 51.2V 280Ah, or 14.336kWh. This arithmetic explains energy scale; it does not establish usable energy, pack output, enclosure fit or inverter compatibility.
A listing describing an enclosure as suitable for “280Ah–314Ah cells” still needs an exact-model fit check. Changing cell capacity can affect the mechanical envelope and system requirements. For the capacity comparison, see 280Ah vs 314Ah LiFePO4 cells.
Keep Operating Limits and Test Conditions Together
Once the mechanical questions are resolved, review electrical and thermal requirements against the same applicable revision. Record the definition and test method beside a number instead of copying isolated values into a comparison sheet.
- Current: separate standard test current, continuous limits and time-limited ratings. Check the cell and the complete protected current path.
- Resistance: distinguish AC internal resistance from a DC pulse measurement. They are different measurements and should not be compared as interchangeable results.
- Temperature: separate charging, discharging, storage and test conditions.
- Cycle life: keep charge/discharge rate, temperature, operating window, mechanical condition and end-of-life criterion with the result.
This article does not prescribe charge settings, fuse ratings, compression hardware or a cycle-life promise. If a listing and the applicable document disagree, obtain clarification before finalizing the design. The general LiFePO4 datasheet guide explains the broader review process.
An LF280K Documentation Request Before Ordering
Send AmpBird the cell quantity, target system voltage, enclosure model and internal drawing, planned row arrangement, inverter and BMS models, load requirements and destination. Request written confirmation of the supplied model and batch, applicable revision, dimensional drawing, terminal processing, included hardware and assembly requirements.
If you need an enclosure and components, review the DIY battery kits, then confirm the exact cell-and-kit variant together. If you are still comparing models, use the LiFePO4 cell collection. Neither a shared capacity label nor a similar photograph establishes compatibility.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I download an LF280K datasheet PDF?
Use the datasheet download on the LF280K product page. Check the document's specification number, revision and date, then confirm that it applies to the cells supplied for your order.
Is LF280K height approximately 207 mm?
The Version C reference distinguishes H1, 207.2 ± 0.5 mm with terminals, from H2, 204.6 ± 0.5 mm without terminals. Delivered terminal processing and connection hardware still need checking. A rounded “207 mm” label is not an enclosure clearance specification.
Does Version C mean the latest LF280K specification?
No. Version C identifies the reference reviewed here. The download check does not establish the latest manufacturer release or the revision for every supplied batch.
Can I replace another 280Ah cell with LF280K in the same box?
Not from capacity alone. Compare the supplied dimensional drawing, terminal arrangement, insulation, restraint and electrical limits with the complete box and system design.
Resolve the Drawing Before Choosing the Hardware
The useful outcome of a datasheet review is a consistent record connecting the cell, revision, supplied terminals and complete battery design. Send AmpBird your LF280K configuration and enclosure drawing to request a fit and documentation review before ordering.
